Upcoming events.
The PAC will continue fundraising for a new playground structure into the 2023/2024 school year with planned fundraisers, including Purdy's Chocolates and Bottle Drives. In addition, the PAC will host multiple events throughout the year, including Fun Food Days, Senior's Tea, the Halloween and Valentine’s Day Dances, Family Games Nights, and the Fun Fair.
Fun Fair
Fun Fair - Friday, June 7th : 5pm-8pm
ENTRY
This is a PAC sponsored event and entry is free for all View Royal Elementary families.
Thank you to the Town of View Royal for donating $500 and Peninsula Co-op for donating a tent for this event. We will have inflatables, games, prizes, balloon animals, a DJ, a cake walk and more!
FOOD
Food is available for purchase - please pre-order to avoid disappointment, we will have very limited extra food. Deadline is May 16th at 6pm. Hot dogs (gluten free & vegan options), chips & drinks: https://vrpac.hotlunches.net/ (funds are available if needed, contact the PAC or Jen Fahr, principal).
We will also have an ice cream truck (https://www.hazelsicecream.ca/) on site for purchase.
END-OF-YEAR FUNDRAISERS
We are launching a fundraising campaign to help keep Fun Fair as low cost as possible for our students and their families. PAC are selling Domino’s Pizza promo cards. You get 10 “buy 1 get 1 free” codes, value of up to $200 for only $20! We have a very limited number of these cards available, to purchase head to the fun lunch platform(https://vrpac.hotlunches.net/) and select the Domino’s menu. Cards will be available for pick up at the Fun Fair. Orders will remain open until we sell out.
50/50 raffle is coming! All funds go towards building a new playground at our school. Stay tuned!
Save your empties! Last Bottle Drive of the year is Saturday, June 15th from 9am-1pm.
CAKE WALK
The cake walk is a little different this year. Each student will receive one free cake walk entry. All families that donate a cake/cupcakes/baked item will receive an additional free cake walk entry. Additional entry to the cake walk will be by donation (suggested minimum donation $2).
VOLUNTEERS

Cake Walk
Calling all bakers! We need cakes for the ever-popular Cake Walk happening during the Fun Fair on June 7th!
Cakes, cupcakes & cookies accepted, please package cupcakes in 6s and cookie in 12s. Baked goods will be accepted at the school on June 7th between 8-9am. Please make every effort to keep the baking nut-free
Don’t bake or don’t have time, no problem, store-bought items will be accepted!

WOW that’s cake!
Each student will receive one free entry to the cakewalk, valid for three consecutive plays. Bakers will be provided with an additional entry to the cakewalk. Additional entry will be by donation, with a minimum $1 per person

Indigenous Garden Cleanup
We’re gathering together on Saturday, April 13th, from 10 am to 2 pm to help give our school’s Indigenous Garden a little extra love. We’re cleaning up, clearing out some invasive species and helping to give this garden the love it needs so our school can enjoy everything it offers.
Board Game Night
Board Game Night!
Join the View Royal PAC and Interactive Board Game Cafe for a fun family evening. The Board Game Cafe is bringing various unique and modern family board games to our school and the best part? They will help your family learn the game!
Entry to this event is by donation. All food (pizza, drinks, chips & candy) is available for pre-order on Hot Lunches (code VRES). To keep the lines moving quickly, please order food for the entire family under your oldest child’s name. Deadline to order is April 8th at 8pm.

Find a game you love?
No problem. The Interactive Board Game Cafe will have games available for purchase, with 5% of all sales going back to support our school.
Art Cards
Earlier this year our students created wonderful artwork as part of our school Art Card fundraiser. Their masterpieces have been put on sample cards and go home in backpacks on April 8. Ordering instructions are on the inside of the card.
It's an easy three step process to order cards, plus other fun options including notebooks, puzzles and suncatchers.
The order deadline is Wednesday, April 24th, and we hope to have orders for pick up on May 10th from 2:30 to 4:30 under the gym. More details on order pick-ups will come soon.

Purdy's Easter Fundraiser Deadline
Our Purdy's Easter Fundraiser is raising money for a new playground for the school. Thank you to everyone who has already placed your order, spread the word, and supported our fundraising. The order deadline is just under one week away, Monday, February 26, 2023. Bottle Drive & Tree Recycling
Out with the old and in with 2024! Clear out your holiday bottles, cans & YOUR TREE! This year the View Royal PAC is hosting a Bottle Drive and Tree Recycling by Donation with the help of the amazing team at Ascent Yard Care.
All proceeds from the bottle drive and donations from the Tree Recycling will directly support our school and enhance our students' education.
